This is the title credited with launching the Silver Age of Comics wth the release of Showcase #4 in 1956. A fantastically important and valuable title. Enjoy reading all these issues in reprints and collected trade paperbacks - some the most important comic book characters were launched throughout the run.
The first officially distributed issue of Showcase in the UK was #23 cover dated Nov/Dec 1959. Given the number of important first appearances in the early issues, Showcase quickly became a major title and the most valuable Silver Age comic title of all.
UK Variants: #23 to #51 have a 9d ink cover stamp. #52 to #55 have a large size 10d cover stamp. #56 to #71 have the smaller and lighter 10d cover stamp. #72-93 have a 1/- (one shilling) cover stamp.
Non Distributed issues #1-23 contain some important first appearances. And in very high grade these cents copies can reach eye-watering values!
