Four adventurous high schoolers, all from different cliques, discover that their small, idyllic town is actually being run by demons. The series chronicles this, as well as their many other adventures relating to the supernatural.
Cliffhanger was an imprint of WildStorm, publishing creator-owned comics. It was founded in 1998 by Joe Madureira, J. Scott Campbell and Humberto Ramos, when Wildstorm was still part of Image Comics (the studio has since been sold to DC Comics). Out There was Cliffhanger's fifth title release and the second that saw Humberto Ramos on the art chores.
