Regular monthly series.
An experimental series in which Matt Wagner tried to create a history for Madame Xanadu, a character with little back story in the DCU. This story was chosen to be told under DC Comics' Vertigo imprint because of its mature nature. While at Vertigo Madame Xanadu was allowed to involve DCU characters, this is something that became rare after the so called "invisible wall" was created between DCU and Vertigo. With the 2010 mandate recalling original DCU characters this series became a casualty of it and was cancelled. The monthly sales were not the strongest, but it was in the middle of the Vertigo pack, while series like DMZ, Scalped and Northlanders which all had lowers sales did not get cancelled.
The series was collected in four Trade paperback editions:
Madame Xanadu: Disenchanted (#1-10)
Madame Xanadu: Exodus Noir (#11-15)
Madame Xanadu: Broken House of Cards (#16-23)
Madame Xanadu: Extra Sensory (#24-29)
