4 issue Mini-Series.
A 1987 prestige-format Mini-Series from writer Denny O'Neiland art by Adam & Andy Kubert.
In the late Eighties, DC began publishing Doc Savage stories and began with this try-out Mini-Series after Savage had previously had his comics published at Marvel. O'Neil decided to age Savage and his world and try a more deconstructionist approach, with a mixed reaction.
The series was eventually launched as an ongoing series the following year (Doc Savage 1988) again written by O'Neil before Mike W. Barr took over, lasting for 24 issues and one Annual.
The 4 issues of the Mini-Series are collected in the Doc Savage: Silver Pyramid Trade paperback.
