9 issue Mini-Series.

A nine-issue DC Comics Mini-Series co-written by Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello and illustrated by Miller, Andy Kubert and Klaus Janson.

The series is a sequel to Miller's 1986 Batman miniseries The Dark Knight Returns and the 2001 miniseries The Dark Knight Strikes Again, continuing the story of an aged Bruce Wayne resuming his identity as a crimefighter, aided by his sidekick Carrie Kelley and featuring an ensemble of DC Universe characters including Superman and Wonder Woman.

This title/page is a work in progress!! Dark Knight III: The Master Race #1 will be accompanied by A LOT of variant covers. DC Comics has not yet put a limit on how many special versions of the comic will be circulating. I have come across varying pronouncements on the final total of variants - even as many as 80. As I become aware of further variant covers for #1 than those already listed, rest assured, they will be listed. A price for each variant will be given but prices may vary wildly in the market place.
