Started out as Captain America Comics, it becomes Captain America's Weird Tales (#74-75). It relaunched in 1954 (#76) with stories against "Commies" instead of WWII stories.
There are some wonderful covers, many war propaganda ones - even his first cover has him whacking Adolf Hitler! It's fair to say that the run of the first thirty or so covers is the best for consistency and brilliance in the Golden Age.
