In the last week of August 2011 DC brought their existing line of titles to an end and replaced them with a line of 52 first issues that takes place in a new post-Flashpoint universe.
This title saw the launch of the new DCU character Batwing from the creative team of Judd Winick and Ben Oliver. The character's first appearance was in Batman Incorporated #5 (Aug 2011). Following #19, Batwing would retire from crime fighting, and the book would star new comer Luke Fox in the role.
The first issue sold out in common with the other 'new 52' DC titles.
The series is reprinted in a number of Trade paperback collections:
Batwing: The Lost Kingdom (#1-6)
Batwing: In the Shadow of the Ancients (#0,7-12)
Batwing: Enemy of the State (#13-18)
Batwing: Welcome to the Family (#19-26)
Batwing: Into the Dark (#27-34, Batwing: Futures End #1)
