In the last week of August 2011 DC brought their existing line of titles to an end and replaced them with a line of 52 first issues that takes place in a new post-Flashpoint universe.
After the old Action Comics became the first mainstream super-hero title to reach 900 issues in (cover date) June 2011 this title saw the launch of the new DCU Action Comics with Grant Morrison on writing duty and Rag Morales and Rik Bryant handling the art.
First printing first issues of the 'new 52' DC's sold out quickly and this title saw a 2nd and 3rd print #1 come out.
