Collecting Beanos around this time is a nightmare as there were SO many free gift, usually sweets, attached to the cover. Some of these sweets are huge like a Fruit Pastilles tube or a mini frisbee so the comic gets bent out of shape or they melt over time like the Drumsticks sweets. I really should have removed the gift each time and stored them separately but what can you do....?
The free gift issues (practically every other issue!) are too numerous to mention now but there are some good ones to collect:
