#1277 New Year issue in theory but no mention of this on the cover. There's no April Fool or Fireworks issue in this year either.
#1288 Easter issue. Should fetch at least twice the values below. #1303 advertises the Beano Summer Special on the cover. #1308 has a potential cut-out cover so sometimes you find this issue mutilated. And #1309 has no words in the word balloons as part of the story - I have seen these filled in with filthy comments before now! #1319 Halloween issue though not specifically mentioned on the cover. Should fetch at least twice the values below. Nice cover. #1326 1st appearance of Pup Parade. #1327 Xmas issue. Three times the values listed below.
A complete year sold in the COMPAL Summer 2008 catalogue for £257.
This year can be a nightmare because a number of issues at the end (#1321 through to #1328) have a quarter or half page cut-out puppet of all the Beano characters. You cut it out, you mount the pieces on card and string through the holes indicated. Nightmare. Always check copies before you buy.
