FIRST DISTRIBUTION DC

The first distributed DC comics took place in waves across the cover dates Oct, Nov, Dec 1959 and Jan 1960. Some issues were monthly, some published 8 times a year and some bi-monthly at the time.  To my knowledge the first issues (43 in total) of the titles were:

Action Comics #258 (Nov), Adventure Comics #266 (Nov) All-American Men of War #75 (Nov) All-Star Western #110 (Dec/Jan), Batman #127 (Oct), Blackhawk #142 (Nov), Bob Hope #60 (Dec/Jan), Brave and the Bold #26 (Nov), Challengers of the Unknown #11 (Dec/Jan), Date with Judy #77 (Dec/Jan), Detective Comics #273 (Nov), Falling in Love #30 (Nov), Flash #109 (Oct/Nov), Fox and Crow #59 (Dec/Jan), GI Combat #78 (Nov), Girls' Love Stories #66 (Nov), Girls' Romances #64 (Nov), Heart Throbs #63 (Dec/Jan), House of Mystery #92 (Nov), House of Secrets #26 (Nov), Jerry Lewis #55 (Nov/Dec), Lois Lane #13 (Nov), My Greatest Adventure #37 (Nov), Mystery in Space #55 (Nov), Our Army at War #88 (Nov), Our Fighting Forces #51 (Nov), Pat Boone #2 (Nov/Dec), Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer #10 (Dec/Jan - the rarest!), Secret Hearts #59 (Nov), Showcase #23 (Nov/Dec),Sgt. Bilko #16 (Nov/Dec), Sgt. Bilko's Pvt. Doberman #10 (Dec/Jan), Star Spangled War Stories #87 (Nov), Strange Adventures #110 (Nov), Suger and Spike #26 (Dec/Jan), Superboy #77 (Dec), Superman #132 (Oct), Tales of the Unexpected #43 (Nov), Tomahawk #65 (Nov/Dec), TV Screen Cartoons #131 (Nov/Dec), Western Comics #78 (Nov/Dec), Wonder Woman #110 (Nov), World's Finest #105 (Nov).

The Top 5 Rarest of these are probably Date With Judy #77, Fox and Crow #59, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer #10, Sgt. Bilko's Pvt. Doberman #10, TV Screen Cartoons #131.

It is thought that there are 'market testers' or 'make-weight' pence stamped copies of Action Comics #257, Detective Comics #272 and Strange Adventures #109.
