WHO'S WHO IN THE DC UNIVERSE

16 issue Maxi-Series in which all issues were 48pgs graphic novel size, loose-leaf format featuring statistical information on dozens of characters from the DC Universe. A binder to collect the issues was sold separately in Nov 1990 and features cover illustration by George Perez. A second binder in April 1991 had a cover by Brian Bolland and was in a larger size to contain more leaves.

This series is a continuation of an earlier Who's Who - Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe which DC published in 1985 and was the umbrella title for a number of comic book series which DC Comics subsequently published to catalogue the wide variety of characters in the DC Universe.

Various updated versions of the Who's Who have appeared over the years, including Who's Who Update '87 and Who's Who Update '88. Both books featured new entries and revised entries for characters in previous volumes, as well as an Appendix which included minor updates and corrections for previous entries. In 1989, most of the DC annuals released that year included Who's Who entries. Some of these were revised versions of entries in the regular Who's Who series, but there were several new entries.

DC Comics also put out two Who's Who spin-off series in the 1980s. The first was Who's Who in Star Trek and the second was Who's Who in the Legion of Super-Heroes.

This 1990 series was followed up by Who's Who in the DC Universe Update 1993. Finally, DC also released a Who's Who series for their Impact Comics line.

All issues were Non Distributed in the U.K. at the time so always cents copies.
