Regular series that ran for a short-lived 7 issues.
The continuation of J. Michael Straczynski's Supreme Power (MAX) series when it was brought over to the regular Marvel print. Unfortunately, the series ended with #7, right in the middle of a story arc. The reason for cancellation was that artist Gary Frank started working for DC Comics. At first, Marvel planed to publish a #8 with art by Mike Deodato Jr, but this issue was never published. A new Squadron Supreme series was started in 2008, although the story that started in this volume was never finished.
The series is reprinted in the Squadron Supreme (1st Series): The Pre-War Years Trade paperback collection.
