12 issue Mini-Series.
The Punisher (5th Series) was a 12-issue comic book Mini-Series also known as Welcome Back, Frank written by Garth Ennis with art by Steve Dillon which was published under the Marvel Knights imprint of Marvel Comics. It proved so popular that not much later, a new ongoing series named The Punisher (6th Series) was started with the same creative team and ran for 37 issues. Also, the 2009 Mini-Series Punisher: War Zone (2nd series) is a sequel to this volume.
While the Overstreet Guide calls this Volume 3, I prefer to call it, chronologically, the 5th series.
