Regular monthly series that lasted for 25 issues.
Comic book legend Walter Simonson brought his unique vision to one of Jack Kirby's greatest heroes in Orion, the first ongoing series to feature the most prominent of the New Gods. Simonson was writer and artist on the series with John Workman providing his usual outstanding lettering job. The new series opened with Orion questioning his own origins, including whether he really was Darkseid's son, and trying to track down Darkseid to gain answers. Unknown to Orion, Darkseid was on Earth with deadly plans of his own.
First five issues are collected in the Orion: Gates of Apokolips Trade paperback.
