MARVEL MASTERWORKS (BARNES AND NOBLE EDITIONS)

A limited series of 12 Trade paperback volumes produced by Marvel in their Masterworks format that collects the classic series.

In 2002, Marvel partnered with Barnes & Noble to produce lower-priced Trade paperback (typically US $12.95) versions of selected Masterworks volumes. Twelve were produced, without dust-jackets, and they utilised the silver cover scheme (based off the initial 2002 dust-jacket design prior to the 2003 revamping layout). The title of the Masterworks e.g. The Amazing Spider-Man is printed above the cover reproduction along with the issue contents and the author and artist names. Below the cover reproduction is "MARVEL MASTERWORKS" in bold upper case lettering.The majority of the spine is blacked out and the title and volume number appear in grey/silver in the black area.

These softcover editions were only released at the Barnes & Nobles Bookstore.
