MARVEL SUPER-HEROES (1ST SERIES)
A 'part new story part reprint' title in the earlier issues which became a full reprint title from #32 onwards (Incredible Hulk reprints). Issues #12-30 were all distributed in the UK but after that they became Non Distributed (ND) and there all cents copies. There are no pence copies of these issues.
The title was previously Fantasy Masterpieces #1-11. A #106 was advertised but never appeared.
#13 is HOT as the first appearance of Caroal Danvers, currently the new Captain Marvel and a novie is one its way.
#18 is still hot as the first appearance of Guardians of the Galaxy and the new sequel movie is eagerly anticipated.
The Guardians of the Galaxy went on to appear in several Marvel titles, such as Marvel Two-In-One #5 (Sep 1974), Astonishing Tales #29 (April 1975 - reprints Marvel Super-Heroes #18), and Giant Size Defenders #5 and Defenders #26–29 (July–Nov 1975). In each case, other heroes such as Captain America, the Thing, and the Defenders aid them in their war against the alien Badoon.
The Guardians were next featured in Marvel Presents #3–12 (Feb 1976–Aug 1977). This was followed by a series of appearances in Thor Annual #6 (1977), The Avengers #167–177 (Jan–Nov 1978) and #181 (March 1979), Ms. Marvel #23, Marvel team-Up #86 (Oct 1979), and Marvel Two-In-One #61-63 and #69 (Nov 1980).
