The entire series was Non Distributed in the UK at the time so they are always cents copies. The title becomes Powerman with #17. Having said that, #4 reputedly came over to the UK in very small quantities to newsagents and was listed as nd rather than ND in dealers' sales lists in the mid 70s.

Bigged up by Marvel at the time as the first black super-hero (did they forget Black Panther?) and very much styled in the street-savvy mould of Shaft, a very successful film from the previous year.

In Feb 2015 Comic Link sold a 9.8 copy for $11,360, superceding the previous record of $9,099 set in Sep 2010.

The recent Netflix tv series has done wonders for the popularity of this title and so some recent increases in value were not surprising.
