A very collectible title. The first 15 were numbered as such on the cover and form a distinct 'set'. From #16 onwards these giants became part of the title run. For example 80 Page Giant G-16 is in fact Justice League of America #39. Issues #16-89 can also therefore be found within their individual title listings. You'll notice that the #1-15 run is not cover-dated with a particular month which was a ploy to give more shelf life to these annuals.

As these comics were thicker than the regular sized DC comics of the time, less copies would fit into the regulation size distribution packs that would come over to the UK. So fewer copies would be in circulation. I remember at my local newsagents back in the 1960s that there was a real race to get any annual as there were usually only one or two copies on the racks. Having said that I think people made an effort to keep these issues as they were such good reading value so I think more survived the dreaded chuck out and thus copies in anything up to Good and Very Good conndition show up on eBay UK quite regularly so grab them for a good read!

What makes this title collectible is the range of great reprints and attractive covers that promised lots of good reading inside. The idea at the time was that readers could experience older stories that they might not have been able to read at the time. The annuals were also squarebound which has it's own problems for collectors. Occasionally the spine can 'wrap around' and not be truly square on. Or sometimes the spine area can be creased and crinkly where the glue at the production and printing process hasn't dried properly or there was too much of it applied. And constant reading/opening and closing the cover page usually lead to wear and creasing appearing vertically down the spine area. So high grade copies of these annual-sized Silver Age DC comics (and Marvel comics for that matter) are genuinely very hard to come by.
