Part of the Heroes Reborn experiment. Marvel turned four of their leading titles, The Avengers, Captain America, Fantastic Four and Iron Man over to creators from Image Comics. All four titles were started in a new continuity after the corresponding characters were removed from regular continuity by the events of Onslaught. Each of the four titles ran for 13 issues before being brought back into the mainline Marvel Universe with a new #1.
All issues were ND or Non Distributed in the UK. That is, they were only available to buy in specialist comic shops and not available in newsagents and other magazine outlets.
