The Holy Grail for collectors of Silver Age Marvel comics. For most collectors an original unrestored cents copy is way out of sight now. The White Mountain copy sold for $227.000.
Why not try a Pence Variant copy?
Update! Mar 2011: a 9.6 NM+ achieved a world record price for a Silver Age comic book of a cool $1.1m. Someone with money to burn obviously.
Interestingly the original (and absolutely priceless!) artwork was donated to the US Library of Congress in 2008 by an anonymous donor who claimed to have been given (yes, given!) the artwork by Steve Ditko who didn't want it.
Sep 2021: Heritage Auctions sold a 9.6 CGC copy for an amazing $3.6m inclusing the buyer's premium. A world record!
