This series carried on its numbering from Captain Mavel Jnr. The series ran for 346 issues as a companion to Marvelman. George Parlett and James Bleach artwork featured.
The character was created to fill the gap left by the demise of the Captain Marvel Jnr. title which came about owing to a lawsuit between L Miller and National Periodicals who owned to copyright to Captain Marvel Jnr.
