One of D.C. Thomson s Big Five titles of the Golden era (Rover, Wizard, Adventure. Hotspur and Skipper), it struggled to survive at the end of its run as a traditional story paper when kids wanted pictures and comic strips. A dedicated if perhaps diminishing collector following. If you could find a #1 it would be in VG or less condition and would probably eBay UK for £100 or so. Treat yourself to a bygone age .
Issues in the last year of publication would be about £3 in Fine condition, not much more than that. A copy of the last issue sold for £12.50 on eBay UK in Feb 2008.
