Highly collectible title, the first of the 'trinity', to be followed by Smash in 1966 and Pow in 1967. Fantastic Four reprints with Jack Kirby artwork begin at #112, starting a tradition of Marvel Silver Age reprints which would last throughout the 1960s and into The Mighty World of Marvel in 1972 and onwards. Earlier issues hard to find, especially in high grade. The front and back covers often don't line up nice and evenly. Some page edges stand proud and get worn and torn. Drives you mad. The free gift with #1 Wham Gun and ammunition would add £70-£90 to the value fairly easily, probably more.

An auction lot featuring nice copies of issues #2 and #3 (no gifts) sold on eBay UK for £117 Jun 2008. A complete run #1-187 sold in the COMPAL Summer 2008 auction for £671 with the early issues in low grade and the balance VG to Fine. A run of #1-150 sold in their Autumn 2008 catalogue for £617. Very hard to get these comics in Very Fine though they do exist. Unusual to get two nice runs of the title surfacing onto the market at about the same time.
Watch out for Odhams 1960s material in the near future - this is a very hot area of British comics' collecting, take my word for it! Wham, Pow, Smash, Fantastic and Terrific are all titles on the move.
