One of Thomson's Big Five titles. Issue #1 and early issues come on the market occasionally. Impossible to put together a set of single issues more likely to get somewhere buying bound volumes. Comic Book Postal Auctions for the last nearly 20 years has specialized in selling bound volumes. The price indications listed are from Comic Book Postal Auction, Malcolm Phillips once again doping great things in the last 20 years to publicize DC Thomson's Big Five.

Note also that there is some real interest now in the last couple of years of the title when it was revamped with free gifts in February 1960 but eventually merged with that other great heavyweight, Rover. These 1960/61 issues are hard to find and well worth picking up if you see them.

Incorporated Red Arrow (D.C. Thomson, 1932 series) on 25th March 1933.

An interesting piece of research from Malcolm Phillips at Comic Book Postal Auctions: Issues #1263 to #1269 featured a new comic strip called Black Slink the Shadow Spy. This was regarded as a breach of the Superman copyright by DC Comics in the USA and the Shadow Spy was banned from future publication.
